With the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the Grand Conference Hall hosted on Monday, 12 January 2025, the festival showcasing PhD students’ contributions to the latest global publications in physiological testing. The event is considered one of the key scientific platforms organized by the college to support research development and encourage innovation in sports sciences.
The festival was organized under the supervision of Prof. Wasan Hanon, with academic management led by Prof. Mohammed Jawad Kadhim and membership of Prof. Ahmed Farhan Al-Tamimi and Prof. Asaad Adnan from the University of Al-Qadisiyah, whose participation added significant value due to his extensive expertise in physiological research.
The event witnessed wide participation from PhD students who presented research-based demonstrations addressing the most recent international tools, methods, and advanced programs in physiological testing systems. The presentations emphasized their applications in enhancing sports performance, improving physical capabilities, and analyzing bodily responses under various training conditions. The audience expressed strong interest in the contributions, which reflected the young researchers’ ability to follow current scientific developments and apply them in both research and practical contexts.
The festival concluded with an open discussion session where the professors provided their scientific recommendations, stressing the importance of continuous support for researchers and the expansion of physiological research in ways that advance sports sciences in Iraq and keep pace with global progress.
